You never give up on me
     even though I put up walls that separate
     and destroy what you have made.

When I forget who I am and whose I am,
     you save me from despair.

Your relentless merciful compassion is stronger
     than the power of White Supremacy and Patriarchy. 
Your promises outnumber victims of mass incarceration;
     your goodness runs deeper than the evil of gun violence.

Every living thing can find salvation in you, our creator.
Please continue to love my completely
     and save me from myself.

Rescue me from alarm filled rhetoric.
Shield me from the cruelty and lies of toxic masculinity.
Put an end to violence and destruction.
Crush every weapon that hurts your people. 

Wrapping your beloved children in a protective embrace,
     I am nourished with hope
     and draw sustenance from your never-ending joy.

Every breath comes from you;
