Jesus and his disciples arrive at the deserted place
seeking to grieve,
catch their breathe,
eat in peace away from others.

Instead of isolation,
faithful followers gather
yearning for powerful presence.
Fragile and weary multitudes
hungry for healing love.

Salvation is found in smelly fish and breaking bread
Mending fractured relationships
Holy messy communion
Welcome into compassionate community
Nourished by God’s Word made flesh

The deserted place
now filled with 5 loaves plus 2 fish
Transforming thousands of lives
Each one touched by divine grace
12 overflowing baskets
Multiplied across generations
Endless time to sit at the feet of Jesus.
